These terms apply when you use myothertongue.com or buy a course, class, kit, or service from My Other Tongue, LLC ("My Other Tongue," "we," "us"). By making a purchase or using our materials, you agree to these terms. Questions? Email info@myothertongue.com.
My Other Tongue offers self-paced online courses, live online classes, private tutoring, workplace training, printable kits and curriculum, and free guides. Each product page describes what is included, the price, and how you get access.
Prices are listed in US dollars. Payments are processed securely through HubSpot. We never see or store your full card number. Live classes on Outschool and products in our Teachers Pay Teachers and Amazon stores are sold through those platforms and follow their terms.
Self-paced courses include one year of access from the date of purchase unless the product page says otherwise. We will send your login details by email. Access is for the person who bought it. Please don't share your login.
Self-paced courses: you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have completed fewer than 3 modules.
Live classes: you may request a full refund before the second session of your term. After that, the self-paced course refund policy applies. If a class does not reach its minimum size, we will offer you a place in the next term or a full refund.
Private tutoring: plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for.
Digital downloads (such as the QuickStart Kit and printable packets): because you receive the files right away, downloads are final sale.
Workplace training: refunds and cancellations follow the written agreement for your organization.
To request a refund, email info@myothertongue.com from the address you used to buy, with your name and the product. We process approved refunds to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Live classes and tutoring take place online, usually on Zoom. Group classes may be recorded so that learners who miss a session can catch up. Recordings are shared only with that class and are not posted publicly. Please be respectful to the teacher and other learners. We may remove anyone who disrupts a class, without a refund.
All videos, workbooks, audio, slides, and other materials are owned by My Other Tongue and Lisa Renea Shaw. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own learning. You may print workbook pages for your own use. You may not copy, resell, share, or post our materials, or use them to teach others, without written permission. Schools and organizations can request a site license at info@myothertongue.com.
We design every course to help you use real Spanish quickly, and many learners see progress in their first weeks. Results depend on each learner's practice and starting point, so we can't guarantee a specific level of fluency or outcome.
Our courses and materials are provided for educational purposes. To the extent the law allows, My Other Tongue is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of our website or materials. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved.
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms in place when you made your purchase apply to that purchase.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
