What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and anything you type into our forms, quizzes, assessments, scholarship applications, or messages to us.

Purchase information: what you bought and when. Card payments are handled by HubSpot, and we never see or store your full card number. Learning information: your course progress, quiz results, and any practice recordings you choose to share with us.

Website information: like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools to understand which pages are visited and to make the site work well.

How we use it

To deliver what you signed up for or bought, including course access, class links, and free guides.
To answer your questions and support your learning.
To send emails about our courses and resources. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
To improve our courses and website.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run My Other Tongue, and only as needed to provide them: HubSpot (forms, email, and payments), our online course platform, Zoom (live classes and tutoring), Google (some forms), and Outschool, Teachers Pay Teachers, Amazon, and Stan Store for products you buy on those sites. We may also share information if the law requires it.

Children

Some of our classes are for children. Parents or guardians enroll children and provide their information. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without a parent's consent. If you believe a child has given us information without consent, email info@myothertongue.com and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you are a student or subscriber, and as long as needed for records, taxes, and legal reasons. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@myothertongue.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.

Security

We use trusted services and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or online service is completely secure, so please use a strong password for your course account.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
