Homeschool Spanish 1A is a joyful, foundational course designed for young learners beginning their Spanish language journey. Whether brand new or building on early exposure, children will grow in confidence and communication through songs, stories, and hands-on activities that connect language to real life.
Rooted in global themes and guided by essential questions, this course helps children explore who they are, where they live, and how they relate to others—both in their own communities and across Spanish-speaking cultures. The rhythm of instruction and exploration allows space for creativity, reflection, and family engagement.
6 Weeks Instruction → 2 Weeks Exploration → 6 Weeks Instruction Format: Hybrid (Asynchronous + Live Sessions) Target Learner: Ages 5–7 Proficiency Goal: Novice Low → Novice Mid/High (ACTFL) Prerequisite: None or completion of Exploratory Spanish for Children

Personal & Public Identities: Sharing names, ages, preferences, and traits
Families & Communities: Describing loved ones, homes, and places people live
Contemporary Life: Talking about daily activities, routines, and interests
Each theme is supported by intercultural stories, visual aids, and inquiry-based tasks that encourage children to think critically and express themselves meaningfully.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:
