Homeschool Spanish 1B invites children ages 8–9 to deepen their Spanish language skills through meaningful conversation, cultural exploration, and playful inquiry. Designed for beginners and early learners alike, this course blends structured instruction with creative exploration—helping students build confidence while discovering how language connects them to the world.
Through songs, stories, and interactive tasks, learners explore themes of identity, family, and daily life. They begin to express themselves more fully, ask thoughtful questions, and compare their experiences with those of Spanish-speaking communities around the globe.
Course Length: 14 Weeks - 6 Weeks Instruction → 2 Weeks Exploration → 6 Weeks Instruction Format: Hybrid (Asynchronous + Live Sessions) Target Learner: Ages 8–9 Proficiency Goal: Novice Low → Novice Mid/High (ACTFL) Prerequisite: Exploratory Spanish for Children or equivalent exposure
Thematic Focus
Personal & Public Identities: Sharing names, ages, traits, and preferences
Families & Communities: Describing relationships, homes, and places people live
Contemporary Life: Talking about routines, hobbies, and everyday experiences
Each theme is supported by essential questions and intercultural stories that spark curiosity and encourage deeper thinking.
